The virtual reality head-mounted display of Oculus Rift is especially designed for immersive gaming. The astonishing resolution of the consumer version will be ≥ 1920 × 1080p. At the moment, the field of view is more than 90 degrees horizontal and 110 degrees diagonal (the data for the upcoming consumer version have still to be announced) – this is much better than most competing devices. The Oculus Rift headset creates a strong sense of immersion, because the “real world” is completely blocked out and the 3D graphics almost fill the wearer´s entire field of view. The Oculus Rift panel's pixel switching time is very fast, reducing latency and motion blur when the player turns his head quickly. As you can see, people who will use the Oculus Rift headset will enjoy a fantastic stereoscopic 3D perspective & experience – in fact, they will get the feeling they are really a part of the virtual environment!
Another advantage of the Oculus Rift headset is that it´s very light (approximately 379g) and easy to wear.
At the moment only the so-called Oculus Rift “developer kit” is available. Presumably the final consumer product “Oculus Rift 2.0” will be released around autumn 2014. It will improve on almost every aspect of the developer kit, which is more or less an early prototype. The consumer product will include immersion, improved head tracking, positional tracking, better resolution (1080p), comfort, features, software-support and most likely wireless operation – to put it briefly, everything you need for the best virtual reality experience possible!
It can be assumed that, from now on, plenty of game developers will integrate the amazing Oculus Rift technology into their upcoming games designed specifically for virtual reality. Some Oculus-ready games are “Team Fortress 2”, the shooter “Hawken” and, most likely, “Doom 3” BFG. Best of all, the soon-to-be-released fantastic 3D multiplayer sex simulation game Chathouse 3D will support the Oculus Rift headset, too!
We are sure Oculus Rift will revolutionize the way people will experience video games and multiplayer 3D sex simulations like Chathouse 3D. With this virtual reality headset your interactive Cybersex will be much more lifelike and realistic than ever before!
The Oculus Rift price for the developer kit is $300, the price of the consumer version is still unknown (rumoured < $300).
